The Kurth Group carried out the change of the planning from an agricultural area to a special-purpose area with large-scale retail. After the planning and application process the group also development this project. The shopping centre Kauf Park Göttingen with a total of 48,600 m² rental space and approx. 2,000 parking spaces was built in two construction phases on a property area of over one hundred and sixty thousand square metres. The property was held in the company's portfolio for over 20 years and sold to three Deka real estate funds in 2019. The Kauf Park Göttingen was selected by the tenants as one of the top 10 of the 400 best retail parks in Germany in 2016.
 

The development began in 1997 with the northern section of the Kauf Park. The design was developed by the architectural firm GMP Gerkan, Marg und Partner. In 14 months, the first construction phase with 41,000 m² rental space was put into operation. The construction of the southern section followed in 2005.
